This group covers the non-Asian restaurants, cafes, bars and food businesses that also appear in a mixed-cuisine food scene, including American diners, pizza, Mexican food, burgers, steakhouses and bakeries. Standard US restaurant norms apply: lunch and dinner service with a quieter stretch between, cards and tap-to-pay accepted almost everywhere, and a tip of 15-20% customary for table service. Fast food and quick-service counters expect payment up front and tipping is optional. Bars check ID for anyone who looks under 30, and the drinking age is 21 nationwide. Many restaurants in this group take reservations online through third-party platforms, while casual and fast-food spots are walk-in only. Sales tax is added at the register on top of the menu price and varies by city and state, so the final total is usually a few percent higher than the posted prices suggest.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open 7 amβ7 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (336) 663-4977. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, awoocoffee.com.
On Google it holds a rating of 4.9 out of 5 from 2,619 reviews, which is a strong result for a cafe in Greensboro and suggests consistent service.

Awoo Coffee has some of the best coffee I've had since being in Greensboro! As a huge coffee lover and former barista, I was really impressed. The coffee was rich, smooth, and full of flavor, and I loved that they offer coconut milk as an option. The atmosphere was just as great as the coffee. It was friendly, welcoming, and social without feeling overwhelming. I also loved seeing the local artwork displayed throughout the shop, and it was such a fun bonus getting to meet a few adorable dogs stopping by while I was there. I would definitely recommend Awoo Coffee to anyone looking for a great cup of coffee and a warm, inviting place to relax or work!

my favorite coffee spot in greensboro- amazing specialty drinks (iβve been in love with the cheesecake matcha) and my regular is a dirty chai! you canβt go wrong with anything here :) i havenβt tried any of the pastries yet, but they look excellent. many of their ingredients, such as the whipped cream, are made in house (CO2!) which is great for pup cups in comparison to a lot of whipped creams that contain high amounts of artificial sugar. i also love that they offer cinnamon, mocha powder, etc. to add on to your drinks if you want on the side! also- all the baristas are super kind, never had a bad experience here. itβs a great place to meet others, chat, have meetings, study, or just get fuel for the day :)

Awoo Coffee is a comfortable place to get some work done, socialize, and/or relax. The dining area features nice cushioned chairs, wooden tables, and couches. There are games and books available as well. Their coffee is customizable, with a menu featuring different styles, flavor syrups, and even milks. Riley was really hospitable to let me try the macadamia milk before ordering it in my coffee, and I found a new favorite as a result. My only less positive feedback is that the pastry case didn't look very good. I'm big fan of coffee and some kind of bread/dessert but on my visit the items, while intriguing in flavor (pumpkin chai muffin), looked dry/flat and I wasn't willing to gamble $5 on not liking something. If that's not the case, maybe adjusting the presentation and/or lights in the display would encourage a better view of them. Overall, I enjoyed my visit here.

Cute shop downtown Greensboro. Parking available right in front on street. Good variety on menu. Tasty treats and great coffee. Comfortable seats, nice decor and atmosphere. Board games available. Noise level very conducive to conversation. Clean, restrooms available. Very expensive; otherwise, would be a five star. Good for a special treat, tough on wallet if daily.
